GreenWave is working to grow regenerative ocean farming while creating sustainable livelihoods in coastal communities. Since we first supported the organisation in 2021, GreenWave has continued to develop the training, infrastructure and markets needed for this emerging industry to grow.

We are renewing our support as GreenWave works towards its goal of bringing 10 million pounds of US-farmed seaweed to market by 2030. The organisation will support farmers through training, technical assistance, grants and subsidies, while strengthening seed production, processing infrastructure and cooperative business models.

GreenWave will also continue developing markets for cultivated seaweed, including agricultural biostimulants and ingredients for food and personal-care products. By connecting increased demand with a farmer-led supply chain, GreenWave aims to create stronger market opportunities for ocean farmers and build a resilient regenerative ocean farming industry.
