Bart Becht, Trustee
Bart Becht is Chairman and Senior Partner at the Bansk Group, an Investment Company based in NY and London. Prior to that, Bart was Chairman and Senior Partner at JAB (2012-2019), an Investment Company with stakes in the Coffee & Beverage companies of Keurig Dr Pepper, Jacobs D’Ouwe Egberts and Peet’s as well as the Coty Beauty Business, Krispy Kreme Donuts, Pret and Panera. Before joining JAB, Bart served as Chief Executive Officer of Reckitt Benckiser (1995-2011), a leading global consumer goods company based out of the UK selling products like Finish, Vanish, Lysol, Dettol, Durex, Strepsils, Mucinex etc.
Ann Becht, Trustee
Ann Becht has a medical technology background and since Becht Foundation’s inception in 2006 has led many of the humanitarian projects together with charitable institutions like Save the Children. From 2014-2019, Ann was on the Save the Children’s’ Appeals’ and Advisory Board advising on new programs, budgets and grant criteria. From 2018-19 Ann was a member of the Development Board at CW+, the NHS Charity for Chelsea Westminster Hospital. Ann played a major role influencing the charity’s new focus on funding High Impact Innovation initiatives using technology.
David Poulter, Trustee
David Poulter is the Chief Financial Officer and Partner at the Bansk Group, an Investment Company based in NY and London. In recent years David has held a portfolio of Non-Executive positions including Chair of Save the Children’s Pensions and Investment Committee and Board Member for Jimmy Choo PLC. From 1999 until 2012 he held executive finance positions at Reckitt Benckiser. David is a Chartered Accountant and prior to Reckitt Benckiser spent 13 years working for PWC.
Chris Hawley, Trustee
Chris is a partner at Rawlinson & Hunter, a firm of Chartered Accountants and is also a director of R&H Trust Co (UK) Limited. Chris works with a number of charity clients, advising them on all aspects of compliance and providing input on strategic direction, governance and operational matters. Chris is delighted to be involved in the Becht Foundation and to have an opportunity to support it in maximizing its impact.
Mastak Pal Kaur, Programme Director
Mastak comes from a diverse mix of consumer goods and youth development background. Prior to joining Becht Foundation, Mastak held end-to-end brand management roles at L’Oreal (2015-2020), world leading beauty & cosmetics company. Before joining L’Oreal she worked for The Challenge Network (2010 – 2013), a UK-based youth and community development charity, expanding the footprint of the charity across schools in the north-west and south of England. She has an MBA from INSEAD.
Clare Brilliant, Programme Manager
Clare has a background in project management, events organisation and scientific publishing. She joins Becht Foundation from Nobel Prize Outreach (2007 – 2023), where she coordinated international events with Nobel Prize laureates and was also involved in the Nobel Prize Conversations podcast. Before joining Nobel, Clare worked at Nature Publishing Group (2001 – 2007), where she was part of the launch team of Nature Reviews Drug Discovery and went on to become an Executive Editor, managing a portfolio of society-owned journals including British Journal of Cancer (Cancer Research UK) and Eye (Royal College of Ophthalmologists).
